How to Throw a Preschool Halloween Party

Get your little pumpkins together and serve up a spooky good time with these Halloween activities.
Pin the eye on the monster
We had a blast drawing our own monster on a big piece of paper but you could look for one to print or purchase. Then, just buy some giant googly eyes from your favorite craft store and you are ready for this twist on pin the tail on the donkey.
Ghost hunt
Make some ghost from toilet paper rolls. Tell the kids it’s time to hunt for ghosts. For each ghost they capture, they can win a prize.
Mummy bowling
Wrap some water bottles up in white streamers and add some eyes. Grab a ball and set them up as a bowling alley. Encourage the kids to knock down as many pins as they can.
Make your own monster cupcakes
Set up a station with frosted cupcakes. Have bowls of Halloween-themed sprinkles, gummy worms, crumbled cookies, and other great toppings available for kids to put on top of their cupcake.
Halloween crafts
Bring out the crayons, markers, glue, and kidsafe scissors. Do a fun craft together like making your own masks or treat bags.
Poke a pumpkin
This one is great for getting the wiggles and giggles out. Make cards with different movements on them, such as fly like a bat, ride a broom like a witch, or walk like a zombie. Place each card into a cup, along with a treat or prize, and cover with orange tissue paper. Organize the cups into a pumpkin pattern. Preschoolers can poke their hand into the pumpkin, then do the movement on the card to win the prize.
Witch hat ring toss
This ring toss game simple to create and helps work on kids motor skills. You can place candy or a small prize under each hat to give to kids when their ring makes it on the hat.
Costume contest
Have the kids line up for a parade or have each walk out and demonstrate their character. You can have different types of prizes such as scariest costume, silliest costume, and best monster.
